About Us
Our mission is to make sure that nobody goes hungry and everyone has access to nutritious food.
We achieve our mission through three key pillars: Food & Personal Care Support, Community Engagement and Donations.
Food & Personal Care Support
We strive to provide essential food assistance and some personal care items to those in need, fostering a sense of community and support among our members. Our goal is to ensure that NOBODY GOES HUNGRY and that everyone has access to nutritious food.
Community Engagement
The Bloor West Food bank strongly believes in the power of community. We rely on a dedicated team of volunteers. We also actively engage with with local businesses, schools and organizations creating a strong network of support that significantly amplifies our efforts to combat food insecurity. In addition, these partnerships help promote overall well-being and contribute to building a stronger, more resilient community. Moreover, through collaboration and shared resources, we can ensure that more individuals and families have access to nutritious food and the support they need to thrive.
Donation Impact
Every donation – whether it is financial support or food and product donations – makes a meaningful impact on our community. Your support enables us to stock essential food items, keep our shelves full for families in need, maintain our facilities, and sustain our mission to alleviate hunger.
